Since it’s been more than two years now I brought my hair
under the continuous rage of scissors ultimately producing different styles
further putting an investigation my real alter ego. I take down this hour to
further elaborate my exploits with my own hair which nevertheless. Curses to
the evil eye and thanks to my mother who yet advises me to tie them up.
Around March somewhere in early 2014 when I actually decided
to take a big leap of trimming my hair above the neckline. A pixie cut has
always remained a fascination, combined the same with thick curls, hair
dressers offered their most quizzical looks, apart from the reason that I had
been discouraged to get hair that short since forever. I emptied search results
for pixie cut on Pinterest, that’s how I made rendezvous with the ‘pin board of
pretty things’.
Looking into the whole badassery pixie cuts exuded I was smitten and made a decision soon enough. Never did I knew that I'll be able to pull it off the way it is often portrayed and perhaps it was way above my age , my reaction to the first pixie cut.
Well the strange episode of the first haircut made realise not only my head fell flat from the top as the hairdresser from Habib remarked " Your head is flat from the top". And wouldn't it be the next Sunday where I would be drumming over the flat shaped skull redifing the whole Champi experience.
My sister gave me the most tortorously seeming innocent look while I looked into the new shae of my hair. But nevertheless coming to the freedom short hair got for me. I entered my hostel and my friend who had a glimpse of me coming upstairs wondered if a boy was tresspassing the premises. Since it was completely new and uncalled for most people, they became stunned. I was often asked what triggered the decision of shedding away the lovely locks I had ? My answer - whim.
A decision so unusual and unplanned for made me feel Winoa Rider sorts of from Girl, Interrupted. Looking for a fixture in life.
In the coming months I went on ceaselessly experimenting with shapes and sizes of the same cut.
